Privacy Policy

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what's generated as you use the platform, and what we receive from third parties like payment processors.

Account information. Display name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and optional profile details such as photo, bio, and preferences.

AI Trip Planner. The prompts, preferences, and trip parameters you enter (dates, interests, budget, pace) so the planner can generate and refine itineraries.

Community features. Profile content you choose to share, messages you send through chat, and — if you use random video chat or nearby-people discovery — connection metadata and, with your permission, approximate or precise location. Verification submissions (such as a selfie or ID check) are used to confirm you're a real, appropriate-age user and are processed by a limited-access verification workflow.

Marketplace and Store. Listing details if you offer a service, booking and order records, delivery or meeting details, payment confirmation (we don't store full card numbers — that's handled by our payment processor), and reviews you write or receive.

Usage and device data. Pages viewed, features used, approximate location from IP address, device type, browser, and log data collected automatically. See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies and similar technologies.

Because gaybkk.co is an LGBTQ+-focused platform, your use of the service can itself reveal sensitive information about sexual orientation or gender identity — even if you never state it directly. We treat this as sensitive data and apply extra safeguards:

• We only ask for identity or age verification where it's needed for safety (for example, before enabling video chat or in-person marketplace bookings), and verification documents are reviewed by a restricted team and deleted once the check is complete.
• Nearby-people discovery and precise location are off by default and can be turned off at any time in your account settings; when on, you control the precision (exact location vs. general area) and who can see it.
• We do not sell orientation- or identity-related data to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
• Billing descriptors for Marketplace and Store purchases use a discreet, generic name rather than "gaybkk.co," so purchases don't appear by name on shared statements.

• Operate and personalize the AI Trip Planner, Directory, Community, Marketplace, and Store.
• Verify identity and age, and maintain the safety and integrity of chat, video chat, and in-person meetups arranged through the platform.
• Process bookings, orders, and payments, and communicate with you about them.
• Send service notifications (account, safety, booking updates) and, only with your consent, marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, harassment, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Improve our AI models and recommendations using aggregated or de-identified data where possible.

We process personal data under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, where it applies to you, laws such as the EU/UK GDPR. Depending on the activity, our legal basis is your consent (e.g., location sharing, marketing), performance of a contract (e.g., processing a booking), or our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe and functioning — balanced against your rights.

We share information only where necessary:

• Service providers who help us run the platform — hosting, payment processing, cloud AI infrastructure, customer support, and identity verification — under contracts that limit their use of your data to the services they provide us.
• Other users, limited to what you choose to make visible (profile, listings, reviews, chat messages you send).
• Marketplace vendors, limited to what's needed to fulfill a booking you've made.
• Legal and safety requests. We may disclose information if required by valid legal process. We scrutinize every government or law-enforcement request, will push back on ones that are overbroad or improper, and — unless legally prohibited or there's a genuine safety emergency — will attempt to notify the affected user before disclosing their data, regardless of which country the request comes from.

We do not sell personal information.

Because our users and infrastructure providers are located in multiple countries, your information may be processed outside Thailand. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Verification documents are deleted once a check is complete unless we're required to retain them longer by law. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, safety, or accounting reasons.

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting who inside gaybkk.co can view sensitive data (verification records, chat and video chat metadata, precise location), and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any additional account protections we offer.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings — including turning off location sharing, adjusting discoverability, and downloading or deleting your data — or by contacting us using the details below.

gaybkk.co is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will suspend it and delete the associated data.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
